2. KANSAS, Mt. Sunflower, 4039 ft, 9/1/02.
Drove to it. Used Zumwalt's book for guidance.
Gravel roads. BIG, curious cows nearby. Very peaceful, with gentle breeze from the southwest. Small picnic area. No gates, just cattle guards.
There are no rest rooms.
Noticed no benchmarks. Nearest benchmark is approximately 1.2 miles away on the Colorado state line. |
